What if I use a View Finder

I have a confession to make - I rarely paint from life.  I mostly paint dogs and even though  I generously give cookies to Mully, she refuses to hold a pose. Besides I am not talking to her - she got into the garbage for the first time and made quite a mess.  She even looked proud, so we are through until she says she is sorry.

I working my way through Carol Marine's book in my other blog artbythebooks.blogspot.ca  and this section is on using a view finder which I did.  I like the composition, I love the lemon and the cup at least looks like a cup which is progress for me.

I can always go back to dogs.
