Day 26 Moon River

Someone who I am sure meant well suggested Audrey Hepburn.  I am pretty sure they meant well, but I panted all day yesterday, did 3 versions and still ended up with a painting that doesn't look like her at all.  Ms. Hepburn I am sorry.
Audrey had a tough start in Hollywood.  Bogart wanted his wife in Sabrina and said she couldn't act. The movie, Breakfast at Tiffany was written for Marilyn Monroe and she was nervous every time the author was on set.Still she was amazing on and off set.

She did have big feet and wore size 10 shoes.  Other then that she was perfect.

  1. Just goes to show- you gotta paint what you want. The painting is beautiful, but it doesn't look so much like her. I enjoy it anyway. Thanks

  2. I think you have to stick with your method. I usually put on a timer for 10 minutes. When you come back you look with fresh eyes and see right away what is good and what has to be changed. I just kept painting and getting more frustrated, but I am comforted by this quote -today's failures are a step to tomorrow's success. Hope that is true.
